Ordering and photos
How do I send you my photos?
You upload them right on the product page. Pick your size and pack, press the Upload pictures button, and add a photo for each magnet. You crop and position each one yourself and see exactly how it will look before you pay, so there are no surprises and no emails back and forth after ordering.
Can every magnet in a set be a different photo?
Yes, and there is no extra charge for it. A pack of twelve can be twelve completely different photos. You can also use one photo for the whole set if you prefer, with a single toggle in the uploader.
What photos work best?
Bright, sharp photos where faces fill a good part of the frame. Natural light beats flash almost every time. Send the original file from your camera roll rather than a screenshot or a copy saved from a chat app, since those are compressed and lose detail you cannot get back. Do you check my photos before printing?
Yes. We look at every photo before it goes in the press. If one looks too small or blurry to press well, we email you before we print it.
Can I use an old printed photo?
Yes. Photograph or scan it in good daylight with the whole print in frame, then upload the largest file you get. Old photos often press beautifully and usually mean more than a recent snapshot.
What file types can I upload?
JPG, PNG, and HEIC from an iPhone all work. If a file will not upload, it is usually because it is very large, so give it a moment before trying again.
Sizes and shapes
What sizes and shapes do you offer?
Five sizes across three shapes: a 2 by 2 inch square, a 2.5 by 2.5 inch square, a 2 by 3 inch rectangle, a 2.25 inch round, and a 3 inch round. Our size guide compares them all with a size chart.
Which size should I choose?
The 2.5 inch square is the most popular and the safest starting point, since it handles group photos and single faces equally well. Choose the 2 inch square if you need a lot of them, the rectangle for upright portraits and landscapes, and the 3 inch round when one photo should be the centerpiece.
Can I mix sizes in one order?
Yes. Each size is its own product, so add each one to your cart separately. They ship together in the same parcel.
Quality and durability
How strong are the magnets?
Strong enough to hold securely on a fridge door that gets opened dozens of times a day without sliding down. A magnet covers nearly the whole back, not a small dot glued on, so the hold is even from edge to edge.
Will they scratch or damage my fridge?
No. The back is smooth with no sharp edges, so it will not scratch the door. It is worth wiping both the magnet and the surface occasionally, since trapped grit is what actually causes marks on any fridge.
Do they work on stainless steel fridges?
Most of the time, but not always. Some stainless steel doors have a non magnetic layer on the outside, which is why nothing sticks to them. The quick test is to try an existing magnet on the door. How long do they last?
For years with normal indoor use. The print is sealed under a smooth finish, so it wipes clean and won't peel or curl like cheap vinyl magnets. Like any photo, it lasts longest out of direct sun. See how long photo magnets last for care tips.
Can they get wet?
A splash in the kitchen is fine and wipes straight off the sealed surface. They are made for indoor use, so we would not recommend leaving them somewhere permanently damp or outdoors.
Pricing and bulk orders
How much do photo magnets cost?
The price per magnet drops as the pack gets bigger. Our pricing guide shows the exact per magnet cost for every size and pack, along with what affects the price anywhere you shop.
Are there setup or design fees?
No. No setup fee, no design fee, and no charge for using a different photo on each magnet. You pay for the magnets, and shipping is calculated at checkout.
Can I order in bulk for a wedding or an event?
Yes, and it is one of the most common things we press. Larger packs bring the price per magnet down. See our bulk photo magnets, or get in touch if you need a quantity beyond the listed packs.
Shipping and returns
How long will my order take?
Every order is pressed to order in the USA, usually within one to two business days, and standard delivery takes another three to seven days after that. Full detail is in our shipping policy.
Where do you ship from?
We press and ship from our studio in California, USA, which is why orders arrive in days rather than the weeks that overseas printing usually takes.
Can I return them?
Because every magnet is made to order from your own photo, they cannot be resold, so all sales are final. If your order arrives damaged or there is a printing error on our end, we will put it right. See our returns and refunds policy.
What if I am not happy with how they turned out?
Tell us. If the problem is on our side, we reprint it. If a photo simply did not press as well as you hoped, message us anyway and we will help you pick a better file for next time.
